Rev. Ronald Krick

August 6, 1932 — April 28, 2016

Rev. Ronald R. Krick, 83, of the Vineyards in Pennsburg, PA died Thursday, April 28, 2016 at home. He was the husband of Bonnie L. (Christman) Krick and the late Joyce A. (Kline) Krick.

Born in Shoemakersville, PA he was the son of the late Paul W. and Edith M. (Zimmerman) Krick.
He was a graduate of Hamburg High School, Franklin and Marshall College, and Lancaster Theologian Seminary.

He was an active member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Sumneytown where he sang in the choir. During his ministry he served St. John’s UCC in Denver, PA for fifteen years while the church relocated and built a new church building. Later he served Palm Schwenkfelder Church in Palm for twenty-five years. Following his retirement he also served as Interim Pastor at Christ UCC in Norristown, St. Luke’s UCC in North Wales, Peace in Zion UCC in Zieglersville, and Frieden’s UCC in Sumneytown. Previously he served on the Board of Phoebe Ministries in Allentown. Until his death he served on the Bucks County Strategic Advisory Council for Phoebe Richland Nursing Home, Richlandtown, PA. In 1992 he received the Allan S. Meck Award for Excellence in Ministry from Lancaster Theological Seminary. He also served on the Upper Perkiomen Visiting Nurse Association Board and helped establish a Hospice Ministry. During his Ministry he was a supervisor for student interns from Lancaster, Moravian, and Eastern Baptist Seminaries.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two sons, Kevin and wife, Trudi of Glenmoore and Daniel and wife, Susan of Glenmoore; grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah, Matthew, James and Marah; and two brothers, Larry and wife, Sarah of Shoemakersville and Robert and wife, Marlyn of Hamburg. In addition he is survived by three step-children, Mark Christman and wife, Tamera of Coopersburg, Vicki, wife of Gary Bonshell of Macungie and Debra Pulizzano of Allentown; plus five step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife, Joyce A. (Kline) Krick and two brothers, William and Harold.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, May 15, 2016 at Friedens United Church of Christ, 1011 Church Road, Sumneytown.
