Rev. D. Thomas “Tom” Phillips, 77, husband of the late Marjorie E. (Demarest) Phillips of East Greenville, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, PA.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Darwin and Annabelle (Gardler) Phillips.
Tom served as a Pastor all his life, working for 14 years at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Finesville, NJ; after which he helped to start Red Hill Bible Fellowship Church, and became Assistant Pastor and later Pastor Emeritus. He was also employed as a bus driver for Bucks Co. Transport, Quakertown.
He was a Board Member of Fellowship Community, Whitehall, PA.
Tom served in the United States Army during peacetime.
Surviving are 3 children, Eric Phillips and wife, Kristina, Nashville, TN; Gareth Phillips and wife, Noelle, Wilmington, NC; Susan, wife of David Milillo, Hackettstown, NJ; brother, Robert A. Phillips and wife, Sherrill, North Bend, OR; and four grandchildren, Caedmon, Iona, Helena, and Matthew.
The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday at Red Hill Bible Fellowship Church, 426 Main Street, Red Hill, PA 18076 with Rev. Jim Arcieri officiating. Burial will be in Zionsville Bible Fellowship Cemetery, Zionsville. There will be viewing Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the church.
