Raymond M. Bauman, 89, husband of the late Grace I. (Meyers) Bauman, of Coopersburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 in St. Luke’s Allentown Hospital.
Born in Milford Township, he was a son of the late Henry R. and Annie M. (Myers) Bauman.
He worked as a Meat Cutter at various Super Fresh Supermarkets in the area for 33 years and also at the A & P in Quakertown for many years before retiring in 1988.
He was a lifelong member of West Swamp Mennonite Church and enjoyed hunting, golfing, bowling, camping, square dancing and growing roses.
He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Linda L., wife of Robert J. Stevens of Pennsburg and Bonnie K., wife of Carl F. Kiesel of Coopersburg; siblings, Harvey Bauman and wife, Polly of Bluffton, Ohio and Grace Lininger of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; grandsons, Jeffrey Kiesel and wife, Jennifer and Jason Kiesel, fiancé of Tessa Albin and great grandchildren, Joshua and Julia Kiesel. Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by sisters, Esther Engleman and Dorothy High and brothers, Andrew, Melvin and Horace Bauman.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at West Swamp Mennonite Church, 2510 Allentown Road, Quakertown, PA 18951 with Rev. Kathy Yoder officiating. Burial follows in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 .am. in the church.
