Randall L. Schoenly, 59, husband of Vickie J. (Barron) Schoenly, of Conrad Road, Alburtis passed away on Saturday, April, 10, 2010 at home. He and his wife were married 19 years on August 4, 2010.
Born in Quakertown, PA, he was the son of the late Leroy C. and Grace M. (Eschbach) Schoenly.
He held many business interests including owning a gun shop, a race car shop and buying and fixing up houses and he was a jack of all trades.
He served as a crew chief and flew helicopters in the Army National Guard for 6 years.
He was a member of Huff’s Union Church, Alburtis.
He was an Eagle Scout and was active with the Palm Boy Scout Troop #79 for many years serving as the Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster among many other positions. He was a baseball coach for many years with the Upper Perk Youth Baseball League and the Upper Perkiomen School District. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and enjoyed drag racing.
Surviving along with his wife are two sons, Scott R. Schoenly and his wife, Lori K. of Macungie and Jamie C. Schoenly and his wife, Heidi L. of Red Hill; a step-daughter, Bekki P., wife of Douglas J. Musee of Clermont, FL and six grandchildren, Turner & Makaela Schoenly, Kyler, Kolin and Karson Schoenly and Karver Musee.
The funeral service was held 10:30 a.m. on April 15, 2010 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. William A. Vanderslice officiating. Interment was in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hill. A viewing was held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
