Ralph K. “Jimmy” Hunsberger, Jr., 84, husband of Dorothy M (Leister) Hunsberger, of Green Lane, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Pennsburg Manor.
Born in East Greenville, PA, He was the son of the late Ralph and Alma (Hertzog) Hunsberger.
He was an inspector at Sonoco in East Greenville for over 30 years before retiring.
He served as a Sgt. in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post #5954 of Red Hill, American Legion Post #184 of East Greenville. He loved to go out to eat and in his younger years plant a garden.
Surviving along with his wife of 57 years is a son, David Hunsberger of Green Lane, and a daughter, Patricia Hunsberger, finance of John French of Green Lane, two grandchildren Jordan and Keith Hunsberger
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA with the Rev. Rebecca Y. Stephens officiating. Burial is in Pennsburg UCC Cemetery, Pennsburg, PA. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m on Thursday at the funeral home. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
