Phyllis Ann (Weikel) Scheirer, 73, wife of Frederick W. Scheirer, Jr., of Wild Run Road, Barto, died Monday, April 2, 2012 at Quakertown Center. She and her husband celebrated 27 years of marriage on May 5, 2011.
Born in Philadelphia, PA she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth (Worthington) Weikel.
She retired in 1984 after working for the IRS as a Tax Examiner and she was an expert seamstress. She also loved playing her pearl white accordion.
She was a member of the Pennsburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses where she was a pioneer and did missionary work for many years.
Surviving along with her husband are four children, Christian Heidelmark and wife, Carol of Quakertown, Timothy Heidelmark of Allentown, Amy, wife of David Reppert of Allentown and David Heidelmark and wife, Sherri of Hummelstown; a sister, Mary, wife of Robert McCarty of East Greenville; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 14 nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by two sons, Michael Heidelmark, and his widow, Bonnie and Wallace Heidelmark and his widow, Janet and a brother, James Weikel and his widow, Debra.
A funeral talk will be held 12 noon on Friday at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday at the funeral home. Offer words of comfort to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
