Phyllis A. (Yeary) Cressman, 64, wife of Richard D. Cressman, of Fels Road, Quakertown died Thursday, December 29, 2011 in Doylestown Hospital. She and her husband celebrated 39 years of marriage in May.
Born in Jonesville, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late James B. and E. Ferne (Gobble) Yeary.
She worked as both a production worker and clerical worker at Merck and Company in West Point, PA for 37 years retiring July 1, 2004.
She was a member of Morningstar Fellowship in Bechtelsville.
Surviving along with her husband are three daughters, Debbie R., wife of Gregory B. Meyers of Pennsburg, Diana J., wife of Jeffrey R. Houser of Perkasie and Sharon J. Cressman of Quakertown; four siblings, Jackie D. Yeary and wife, Terri, Hazel B. “Muffet”, wife of Rev. Stefan J. Sawczak, Harold “Skid” Yeary and wife, Donetta and M. David Yeary, all of Ohio and five grandchildren, Victoria, Jacob and Luke Meyers and Ashley and Dylan Houser. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by a brother, J. Dwight Yeary, husband of Linda Yeary of Alabama.
A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with Rev. Stefan J. Sawczak officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening and also 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
