Peter Talacki

August 13, 1924 — August 28, 2024

Peter Talacki, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Arcadia at Limerick Pointe at the age of 100. Born in Philadelphia, to the late Anthony and Anna (Adamonus) Talacki, Peter dedicated his life to service, love, and hard work.

A veteran of the United States Army during World War II, Peter served with distinction, earning the prestigious Bronze Star for his bravery and valor. His service to his country was a testament to his courage and selflessness, qualities that defined his character throughout his life.

Following his military service, Peter embarked on a successful career as a machinist, eventually owning his own business, Custom Packaging and Partition, for over twenty years. After the many years with his own business, he worked for Cardone Automotive until retirement. A member of Calvary Assembly of God in Wyncote, Peter devoted his time to teaching Sunday School and spreading the message of faith and love. He also attended Calvary Chapel in Philmont. Peter's remarkable work ethic, his role as a mentor to many, and his warmth as a friend touched the lives of countless individuals.

Throughout his life, Peter's greatest joys were his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Ruth (Pocius) Talacki for 70 years before her passing in 2021. As a father to three daughters-Roberta "Bobbi" Kasitz (Philip), Phyllis Buckley (Gregory), and Esther Dunn (Randall)-Peter instilled in them the values of hard work, kindness, and resilience. His legacy continues through his 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, whom he cherished deeply. He is also survived by his two sisters, Reba Cahall and Fran Vivian. He is predeceased by his grandson Daniel, aged 20, in 1998; three brothers and two sisters.

Peter will be laid to rest privately with his wife at Fort Indiantown Gap. Arrangements entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home. You may leave online condolences and share memories by visiting www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
