Peter Matthew D’Amico, 83, of Red Hill, PA and formerly of Bushkill, PA died on, May 9, 2011 in Quakertown, PA. He was the husband of Patricia M. (Dudley) D’Amico. They would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on June 21st.
Born in Richmond Hill, Queens, New York, he was a son of the late Joseph and Elsie (Lohrmann) D’Amico.
He was a tractor trailer driver for over 35 years and retired from Foodhaulers “Shop Rite Stores”, Elizabeth, NJ. He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Pennsburg, American Legion, Bushkill, co-founder of Bushkill Outreach Program, Inc. food pantry for over 25 years, St. Philip Neri Eucharistic Minister and greeter, an avid Mets fan and received many awards for Safe Driving from Foodhaulers, Inc.
Surviving along with his wife are children, Eileen M. Malloy and husband, Michael of Perkasie, Peter J. D’Amico and wife, Lana Chandra-Wiblitzhouser of Cary, NC, Lynn M. DeRose and husband, Nicholas of Doylestown and Patricia E. Schuchman and husband, Martin R. of Round Hill, VA; grandchildren, Colleen, Casey, Jason, Laura, Noah, Damien, Joshua and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Cole, Rye, Joshua, Rocco and Ivy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church.
