Paul M. "Dutch" Fronheiser, 83, husband of Vera J. (Albitz) Fronheiser, of Lesher Mill Road, Palm, died June 25, 2011 at his home. He and his wife celebrated 61 years of marriage on April 15, 2011.
Born in Bally, PA, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Marie (Melcher) Fronheiser.
He was a Stone Mason at Nester Brothers in Pennsburg for over 30 years then was a custodian for the Upper Perkiomen School District for several years retiring in 1998.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II.
He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where he was active in the Boy Scout program and was also on the Scouting Board of Directors. He was an accomplished baker and was recently featured in the Morning Call Newspaper and he also loved making wine.
Surviving along with his wife are two children, Glenn D. Fronheiser and wife, Elizabeth of Barto and Karen L. Bauer and husband, Jeffrey of Bally; six brothers, John Fronheiser and wife, Betty of East Greenville, Peter Fronheiser and wife, Loretta of Bally, George Fronheiser and wife, Ellen of Boyertown, Robert Fronheiser of Pottstown, Richard Fronheiser and wife, Louise of Pennsburg and Charles Fronheiser and wife, Anna Marie of Bally; a sister, Anna Wary of Bally; four grandchildren, Adrienne Gray, Neil Fronheiser, Jessica Marcial and David Bauer and five great grandchildren, Trinity, Mercia, Marie, Paul and Madeline Rose. Along with his parents he is predeceased by two brothers, Edwin and Leo Fronheiser.
A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at church.
