Patrick G. Antonio, 85, of Pennsburg, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 in Pennsburg Manor. He was the husband of Elsie W. (Wilson) Antonio celebrating 57 years of marriage last May 16, 2017.
Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Lorenzo and Lucia (Izzotti) Antonio.
Pat was a 1950 graduate of Pottstown High School and a 1972 graduate of Ursinus College earning a degree in Accounting.
He was employed as an accountant at Brooks Instrument in Hatfield for 13 years retiring in 1994 and previously had worked 15 years at the former Berman Sales & Leasing Company in Pennsburg and 15 years as the controller at the former Trail Mobile in West Point. After retiring he worked part-time at the Upper Perkiomen YMCA doing fundraising and public relations.
He was a longtime member of the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. He was the President and board member of the Upper Perk Senior Center, a member of Maria Assunta Lodge in Pottstown and the East Greenville Fire Company. He was an avid and accomplished bowler in several bowling leagues and in the Church League in Quakertown and at the American Legion. He was also a former Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop #338 in Green Lane.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Elsie; and son, David W. Antonio and wife, Lorraine of Stowe. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, William and Fred Antonio and two sisters, Edith Rinaldi and Cecelia Herb.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041with the Rev. Charles E. Romanowski officiating.
