Oleda (Weller) Nester, 97, of Pennsburg, widow of Wilson E. Nester, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, March 27, 2015, at Quakertown Center.
Born in Hereford, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Eschbach) Weller.
She worked as a seamstress for over 20 years at the former Wismer Clothing Company and loved to plant flowers, reading, sewing and especially crocheting.
Oleda is survived by four children, Irwin Nester of Pennsburg, Grace, wife of Richard Stull of Barto, William Nester and his wife, Carole of Pennsburg and Robert Nester and his companion, Doi Peterson of Boyertown; a daughter-in-law, Dolly Nester of New Berlinville; a sister, Marie Seyler of Bechtelsville; 17 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren and 20 great great-grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Wilson Nester, Jr.; brother, Curtis Weller, three sisters, Meda Renninger, Edith Weller and Viola Brensinger and a granddaughter, Christine Lear.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. William A. Fluck officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 until 11 am prior to the service. Burial follows in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Sassamansville. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
