Nora Schantz

Nora M. Schantz, 98, of Pennsburg, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at her home.

Born in Corning, PA, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Elsie (Schuler) Schantz.

She worked as a sewing machine operator for 45 years at the Quakertown Clothing Company retiring in 1977.

Nora was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, where she participated in Women's Fellowship, serving refreshments, and sewing for the needy. She was involved in the East Greenville Fire Company and the Upper Milford Western District Fire Company Ladies Auxiliaries and was a member of the Pennsburg and Montgomery Berks Golden Agers.

Surviving is one sister, Florence V. Steltz of Pennsburg and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, 1070 Church Rd, East Greenville with the Rev. Dr. Deborah Rahn Clemens officiating. Burial is in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Old Zionsville, PA. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until 11 a. m. on Wednesday at the church.
