Naomi Ruth (Alexander) Glessner, 90, of Lancaster, passed away on September 30, 2012 at her home. She was the wife of the late William Luther Glessner, who passed away in 1983.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William Batteaux and Maria (Geimeyer) Alexander.
Naomi was employed as a clerk of the Lancaster County Criminal Court for 14 years until 1997.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church since 1970, a life member of Morning Light Chapter #312, Order of the Eastern Star, Hatboro and former member and Past Matron of Progress Chapter #285 OES, Philadelphia. She was a member and past president of the Town & Country Garden Club, Lancaster and a member of the Towne Club and Lancaster County Garden Club, American Begonia Society and a charter member of the Conestoga Herb Guild.
Surviving are three sons, Robert of OK, William of Lancaster and Douglas of FL and two grandchildren, William II of CA and Rachel Elizabeth of Lancaster. Along with her husband and parents she is predeceased by her son, Ward.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 31 South Duke Street, Lancaster. A viewing will be held from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the church.
A private interment will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery, Huntingdon Valley, PA.
