Nancy W. (Black) Madsen, 83, wife of Walter S. Madsen, of Coopersburg passed away peacefully July 16, 2011 at home. She and her husband celebrated 61 years of marriage this past March.
Born in McKinley, PA. She was the daughter of the late James Vernon and Dorothy Claire (Thomas) Black.
She was loved and cherished by her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an active member of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship where she served as receptionist and in the daycare. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and providing comfort, love, and support for her family.
Survivors: Husband; Children: Chris, wife of Ronald E. Wilsker of Allentown; Jens S. and wife, Cynthia L. of Alburtis; Stephen J. and wife, Debra B. of Coopersburg; Matthew M. and wife, Lisa of Zionsville and Lisa A. Madsen of Allentown; sister, Jane Eichert of Doylestown; 12 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. She is predeceased by a son, Timothy Paul Madsen and a brother, James Black.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship 2788 Geryville Pike, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with the Rev. Stanton Williams officiating. Interment is in Chestnut Hill Church Cemetery, Coopersburg. Call 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at church. Arrangements by Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
