Miriam Kline

August 16, 1912 — March 6, 2014

Miriam (Bardman) Kline, 101, widow of Harold E. Kline, formerly of Green Lane; passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Lutheran Community at Telford.

Born in Green Lane, PA she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Frederick) Bardman.

She worked as a sewing machine operator for the former Rosenau Manufacturing Company, of Red Hill for 37 years before retiring in 1974.

Miriam was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sumneytown. She was a former member and Past Matron of Perkiomen Chapter #318 Order of the Eastern Star, Red Hill and a former member and Past Royal Patron of the former Unami Court Order of the Amaranth. She volunteered for 14 years at the Thrift Shop and for Meals on Wheels. She loved gardening and playing cards. She was a hard-working, fun-loving woman who lived an active life and loved to laugh.

Surviving are her son-in-law Earl Clevenstine, Pennsburg; 4 grandchildren, C. Earl Clevenstine, III, Souderton; Mary S. Eberle, Perkasie; Karen B. Heffernan, Pennsburg, and Carl E. Clevenstine and wife, Robin, Chalfont; 10 great-grandchildren, Kelly and Jake Eberle, Josh, Carl, Clinton, Samantha, Scott, and Sean Clevenstine, and Bill and Westly Heffernan; a brother, Carl Bardman and his wife, Marion, Green Lane; sisters, Erma Knisley, Green Lane, Grayce Sutton, Schwenksville, and sister-in-law Thelma Bardman. She was predeceased by a daughter, Joan E. Clevenstine; a granddaughter, Donna Clevenstine; brothers, James, Henry, Paul, Arnold, Abner, Ralph, Ira, and Rodger Bardman and sisters, Mary Saville, Florence Markley, and Gladys Rauch.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm Friday, March 14, 2014 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Reverend Rebecca Eisenhart officiating. Burial will be private in Friedens Union Cemetery. Offer online condolences to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
