Michael J. DeVitis of East Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. He was 82 years old. He was the loving husband of Sandra L. (Rice) DeVitis, sharing 33 years of marriage together.
Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late John and Jean (Sugalski) DeVitis.
Michael was a lab technician for Fluid Energy in Hatfield for many years before retiring. Prior to that, he worked as a lab technician for Amsat in East Greenville. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
He enjoyed vegetable gardening and watching all of the Philadelphia Sports teams; especially the Phillies and Eagles.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Michael DeVitis, Jr., Carol Walker, Susan DeVitis, Jillian Leister and husband, David and Megan Walter and husband, Adam; a sister, Jeanne Brown; six grandchildren, Michael, III, Brandy, Steven, Luke, Ruby and Cora; and three great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Francis and John, Jr. DeVitis.
A private graveside will be held at Saint Matthews Cemetery in Conshohocken. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville, Pa.
