Mary Yedinak, 82, of Quakertown, formerly of Sumneytown, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at St. Lukes Hospice House, Bethlehem.
Born in Hoppenville, she was a daughter of the late John and Eva (Kuchtyk) Yedinak.
She was a 1946 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School. She worked as a production worker at American Olean Tile in Lansdale for many years.
She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg. She loved watching the Philadelphia Phillies, the Philadelphia Flyers and enjoyed reading books.
Surviving are nieces, Sandra Phifer and husband, Gary of Harleysville, Barbara Yedinak of Harrisburg, Carole Lipschultz and husband, Philip of Wyomissing and Sandra Nee of Norfolk, VA; grand nephews, Wesley Lipschultz and wife, Kristine Lalley of Pittsburgh and Thomas Lipschultz of California; a great grand nephew, Matthew Yedinak of Florida; and a great grand niece, Jackie Yedinak of Florida.
She was predeceased by siblings, Anna Yedinak, Julia Groff, John Yedinak, Joseph Yedinak and Carl Yedinak; a nephew, Joseph Yedinak, Jr. and a grand nephew, Thomas Joseph Phister.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. Family and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home.
