Mary E. (Kriebel) Moyer, 98, widow of John P. Moyer, of Gilbertsville, died Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Hereford, she was a daughter of the late Morris S. and Elsie H. (Schultz) Kriebel.
She retired from Bally Ribbon Mills in 1979 where she worked for over 25 years.
She was a lifelong member and member of the Ladies Aide Society of Palm Schwenkfelder Church. She also was a member of the Boyertown Senior Center and loved quilting and was an active quilter at church and the senior center.
Surviving are three children, John P. Moyer and wife, Catherine of Gilbertsville, Patricia A. Moyer of Emmaus and Kenneth W. Moyer of Barto; a sister, Clara M. Graber of New Berlinville; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Moyer, a brother, Paul S. Kriebel and four sisters, Evelyn G. Heydt, Kathryn E. Sterner, Gladys V. Hall and Ada L. Luz.
A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Palm Schwenkfelder Church, 833 Gravel Pike, Palm, PA 18070. Family and friends are invited to the burial preceding the service at 10:30 a.m. at Washington Schwenkfelder Cemetery, Kutztown and County Line Roads, Hereford Township and are welcome to a gathering at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville is in charge of the arrangements.
