Mary E. (Young) Krause, 97, widow of the late Russell Krause, a lifetime resident of Pennsburg, died on Saturday, January 2, 2010 in Pennsburg Manor.
Born in Pennsburg, she was a daughter of the late Osburne and Rebecca (Frey) Young.
She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Upper Perkiomenville Senior Center.
Surviving are three sons: Dennis O., husband of Maryann Krause of Pennsburg, Dale N., husband of Betty Krause of East Greenville, and David T., husband of Ruth Krause of East Greenville; two daughters: Judy A., wife of Edward Brinckman of Pennsburg, and Karen L., wife of George Uhl of Pennsburg; Two brothers: Calvin, husband of Phyllis Young of Pennsburg, and Donald, husband of Elaine Young of Quakertown; Four sisters: Mildred Culhane of Pennsburg, Anna, wife of Joseph Farnzone of Norristown, Harriet Bowman of East Greenville, and Bernice, wife of Etmer Craggs of Warminster; eight grandsons, and ten granddaughters, and 38 great grandchildren.
Mary was predeceased by two sons: Darryl and Dean Krause, a grandson, Dennis Krause, a brother, Norman, and three sisters: Jane, Ruth, and Dorothy.
Memorial services are private at the convenience of the family.
Contributions may be made to a charity of choice in her name or Kwanis Club, 120 Gravel Pike, Green Lane, PA 18054.
