Mary S. (Sieber) Godshall, formerly of Green Lane, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at LifeQuest Nursing Center in Quakertown. She was 86 years old. She was born September 3, 1935 in Philadelphia to the late Martin and Helen (Stolz) Sieber. She was the loving wife of the late Russell S. Godshall, whom she married in June of 1956 and spent 57 years of marriage with before his passing in 2013.
Mary moved to Red Hill in 1946 and was a graduate of the first graduating class of Upper Perkiomen High School in 1953. She then went on to graduate from The University of Pennsylvania Nursing School in 1956, earning her RN degree. She was employed as an RN at Grand View Hospital from September 1956 to November of 1957 and then she worked as an office nurse from 1957 to 1984 for Dr. Cleaver and Dr. Kistler. Following that, she worked for Dr. Priscilla Kistler from 1985-1999 and then Tri Valley Primary Care in Pennsburg from 1999 until her retirement in 2001.
She was a longtime member of St. Philip Neri R.C. Church in Pennsburg where she sang in the choir, volunteered her time at the carnival and bingo, served as Eucharistic Minister, and was a greeter. She enjoyed reading, gardening, classical music and bird watching. She also lover her cats and dogs, especially German Shepherds; she always had pets. She was also a former member of the Golden Agers.
Surviving are her brother, Martin Sieber, Jr. of Green Lane, PA; her niece, Karen Lee of Hatfield; great-nephew, Jarred Lee and wife, Lauren; and great-great-niece, Alexis “Lexi” Lee.
A Mass will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at St. Phlip Neri R.C. Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd., Pennsburg, PA 18073. Burial will be private. Family and friends may call from 9 to 9:45 at the church prior to mass. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
