Mary Fluck

August 16, 1920 — September 16, 2013

Mary M. (Delong) Fluck, 93, widow of Paul A. Fluck, of Red Hill, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013 at Life Quest Nursing Center, Quakertown.

Born in Schwenksville, she was a daughter of the late Jacob H. and Lillian M. (Clemmer) Delong.

Mary was the owner of Eschbach Hotel, Bechtelsville for 9 years. After owning the hotel, she was a cook for the former Styer’s Convalescent Home, Pennsburg for many years.

She was a lifelong member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Pennsburg.

Surviving are her children, Doris R. Sites, El Cajon, CA, Phyllis J. wife of Frank Buza, East Greenville and Jeffery Karom and fiancée, Andrea Altomore, East Greenville; sister, Beatrice Grim, Allentown; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a daughter, Edith D. Fluck; son, Richard P. Fluck; and a sister, Violet Hartranft.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Reverend Charles A. Romanowski officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 am until 11 am Thursday at the funeral home. Burial follows in St. Mark’s Cemetery, Pennsburg.
