Mary Alice Bilger, 95, widow of Wilson M. Bilger, Sr., formerly of East Greenville, died Thursday, August 26, 2011 at Life Quest Nursing Center.
Born in Mertztown, she was a daughter of the late Raymond H. and Annie (Dengler) Muth.
Before she retired she worked for Pennsburg Pants Factory as a seamstress and sold candy for Luden’s Candy Company for many years. Originally she was a member of Old Goshenhoppen Lutheran Church and when she moved to East Greenville she became a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Later on she converted to Catholicism and became a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.
Surviving are Children, Robert C. Bilger and wife, Marjorie of Green Lane and Ruth J. Bean and companion Robert J. Kulp of Green Lane; eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Wilson M .Bilger, Jr.
A Graveside will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in Old Goshenhoppen Cemetery, 2092 Church Road, Woxall, PA 18979 with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating.
