Mary Ann (Graber) Hoffman, 79, widow of Donald S. Hoffman, of Red Hill and formerly of East Greenville, died Thursday morning, January 26, 2012 at Grand View Hospital with her daughters by her side.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Harry Graber and Viola (Bauer) Knauss.
Mary Ann was a homemaker and was a kind and wonderful person who loved life, family and friends. She brought a smile to everyone she encountered.
She was a 1950 graduate of East Greenville High School and was a lifelong member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ where she had served on Consistory and sang in the church choir. She was also a member of the Golden Agers, Lunch Bunch, Perkiomen Valley Women’s Club and the “Card Club” with her closest friends for the past 30 years.
Surviving are three daughters, Susan Jane, wife of Steven Hersh of East Greenville, Julie Ann, wife of Thomas Oberholtzer of East Greenville and Jennifer Lynn, wife of Jay Bowyer of Barto; a granddaughter, Brook Judann Graves of East Greenville; a great grandson, Joseph Thomas Graves of East Greenville; an aunt, Marian Saul of Allentown and three cousins, Richard Graber and wife, Betty, Reece Graber and wife, Nancy and Delbert Graber and wife, Donna and their families in Iowa. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Benjamin Thomas Oberholtzer.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. James R. Roth officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at church.
