Marjorie Phillips

March 14, 1940 — December 28, 2012

Marjorie Ellen (Demarest) Phillips, 72, wife of D. Thomas Phillips of East Greenville, died on Friday, December 28, 2012, at her home.

Born in Hackensack, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Chester and Helen (Howard) Demarest.

She graduated from Houghton College of New York with a bachelor’s degree in Bible Education.

Marje worked as a secretary at George Didden Greenhouses of Hatfield for 20 years.

She was a member of Red Hill Community Bible Fellowship Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her children Eric Phillips and his wife, Kristina of Greensboro, NC; Gareth Phillips and his wife, Noelle of Wilmington, NC; and Susan Milillo and her husband, David of Hackettstown, NJ; three brothers James Demarest and his wife, Carrie of Paterson, NJ; Robert Demarest and his wife, Shirley of Tannersville, PA; and Thomas Demarest and his wife, Ellen of Corvallis, OR; and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by one grandchild.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Red Hill Community Bible Fellowship Church, 426 Main Street, Red Hill, PA with the Rev. James Arcieri officiating. Burial will be in Zionsville Bible Fellowship Church Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home Inc., 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041, and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Share memories and offer condolences to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
