Marjorie Hoier

September 21, 1934 — February 9, 2013

Marjorie Jane (Appleby) Hoier, 78, widow of Julius E. Hoier, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in New York City, she was a daughter of Harrison and Louise Appleby.

She retired from Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia.

Marjorie was a lifelong member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ and a member of Perkiomen Valley Women’s Club. She was also a team captain for the Relay for Life of Upper Perk and was recently honored for being the longest cancer survivor. She loved to enjoy the company of her friends and spending time with her family.

She will be sadly missed by her children Christine Faraco Comly and her husband, Craig of East Greenville and Eric Hoier of San Diego, California; a brother, Phil Appleby of California; a sister, Elizabeth Heier of Georgia and four grandchildren, Robert and Madison Faraco and Ben and Charlie Hoier. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Harrison Appleby and two sisters, Louise Appleby and Frances Baron.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, February 15, 2013 at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville with Rev. Russell Gates officiating. Burial is private in New Goshenhoppen Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to greet the family following the memorial service.
