Marion Irene (Hoffman) Hendricks, 93, widow of Russell W. Hendricks, of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in Frederick Living.
Born in Pennsburg, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Amanda (Wentzel) Hoffman.
She was employed as a Seamstress retiring in 1965 from Ozans Clothing Company in Boyertown after 10 years and had previously worked at the former Rosenau Brothers and Pennsburg Clothing Companies.
She was a longtime member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ and the Boyertown Orioles Ladies Auxiliary. Marion spent time at Sassmansville Fire Co and helped with many dinners. She loved children, cats and dogs, especially Beagles.
Surviving are nephews, Robert Gerhart and his wife, RoseMary of Hatfield; Ronald Gerhart and his wife, Maria of Colmar, niece, Kay, wife of Dean Ossian of Nebraska and many other nieces and nephews and their families; cousins, Anna Carpentier, Raymond Hoffman and Roger Hoffman and their families. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a brother, Willard Hoffman.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville with the Rev. Michael Jones, Assistant officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041.
