Maria (Graf) Dickmann, 74, widow of Adam Dickmann, of Pennsburg, formerly of Philadelphia, died on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 in Grand View Hospital, Sellersville.
Born in Schag, Romania, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Katharina (Berg) Graf.
She had emigrated from Germany in 1952 with her family and met her husband in Philadelphia a few years later. She was a life member of Danube Swabian Association of Philadelphia, a member of The German Society of Pennsylvania and a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg since 1973.
Surviving are four children, Rose, wife of Pete Greskoff of Paoli, Adam Dickmann, Jr. of Pennsburg, Tony Dickmann and wife, MaryAnn of Lansdale and Joseph, Dickmann and wife, Jen Teichman of Chardon, Ohio; mother-in-law, Katharina Dickmann of Pennsburg; two brothers, Josef Graf of Charleroi, PA and Edmund Graf and wife, Erna of Jamison and five grandchildren, Julie, Peter, Michael, Kathryn, and Matthew.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, December 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. Family and friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in her memory to The Danube Swabian Foundation USA, 710 North Carlyle Lane, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
