Margaret E. Rementer, peacefully passed away on December 5, 2024 at her daughter's home surrounded by family at the age of 89. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret (Brown) Cosgrove.
She was married to George W. Rementer for 43 years before his passing in 1999, and together they built a loving home filled with laughter and joy. Her love for family was the cornerstone of her life. She cherished family time and created lasting memories, particularly during vacations at the beach in Cape May, where she lived for ten years.
Margaret's passion for sewing was evident in her many years of dedicated work as a seamstress at Jennifer Ann in Red Hill, and later, she continued her craft at G&T in Fogelsville retiring after many years. Her creative spirit extended beyond sewing; she also cherished quilting with her daughter, caring for animals, and nurturing her plants. Margaret was a faithful woman and member of St. Philip Neri, where her strong faith shone brightly.
She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for her kindness, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She is survived by her four children, George Rementer (Sandra), Marigrace Gilbert (Brian), Timothy Rementer (Michelle) and Shawn Rementer (Ianna); grandchildren, Shannon, Christopher, Marissa, Justin, Jarod, Nikolas and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Breanna, Ciera, Zaden, Bella, Hazel and Christopher; great-great-granddaughter, Genesis; and sister, Carol Hildenbrand. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by a granddaughter, Jennifer; and brothers, Jack Cosgrove and Joseph and Mike Rementer.
A viewing will take place at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine St., Bally, PA on Friday, December 13th beginning at 9:30AM, followed by a Mass at 11 AM officiated by Rev. Anthony Hangholt. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Philip Neri, 1325 Klinerd Rd., Pennsburg, PA 18073 or to the Deaf Hearing Communication Center at www.dhcc.org.
