Margaret A. (Kooker) Neas, 81, widow of Lester L. Neas, of Apple Street, Red Hill, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Belle Haven Nursing Home.
Born in Milford Township, Bucks County, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Katie (Gaugler) Kooker.
She was a seamstress at the former Jennifer Ann Frocks and Ladies and Friends for many years before retiring in 1991.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Spinnerstown, where she was a member of the Ladies Aide Club. She also enjoyed playing cards, puzzle books, and spending time with her family.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Rick L. Neas of Red Hill and Luann M., wife of Les Wright of East Greenville, three sisters, Dorothy, wife of Elmer Brinckman of Quakertown, Shirley, wife of Raymond Wolf of Quakertown and Gloria, wife of Paul Styer of Pennsburg; six grandsons, Rick L. Neas, Jr., Robert L. Neas, Brian L. Neas, Andrew J. Kirka, Kenneth E. Smith and Joshua A. Moyer and a great grandson, Alexander Neas. Along with her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a son, Barry L. Neas.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2011 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1565 Sleepy Hollow Road, Spinnerstown with the Rev. Paul Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Spinnerstown. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
