Mamie V. (Fluck) Bechtel, 96, wife of the late Frederick H. Bechtel, of Coopersburg and formerly of East Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Phoebe Richland in Richlandtown.
Born in Cetronia, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Irene S. (Lesher) Fluck.
She worked 23 years as a Seamstress at the former Pennsburg Clothing retiring in 1982.
She was a longtime member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, East Greenville.
She was a loving wife and mother and will be sadly missed by her children, Brian E. Bechtel and wife, Sandra of Kraussdale and Eileen V., wife of Richard H. Myers of Coopersburg; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson and her daughter-in-law, Annette Bechtel of East Greeenville. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, David F. Bechtel and two brothers, Claude and Clarence Fluck.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. Michael Jones officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service.
