M. Louise (Gillett) Ross, 90, widow of Maynard K. Ross of Willow Valley Retirement Community, Willow Street, PA passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 at her home. They had been married 49 years when he passed away in 1996.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Mabel (Finlay) Gillett. She was a graduate of the Moravian Seminary in Bethlehem PA, and Strayers Business College in Philadelphia. She was a secretary for several firms in Philadelphia area and Lancaster for over 30 years.
Surviving are her daughter Deborah L. Getz and husband, Thomas of Lancaster; and her son, Bruce M. Ross and wife, Pamela of Mequon, WI; and 6 grandchildren, Jessica, Timothy and Jason Getz and Jennifer, Michelle and Nicole Ross. Her sister, Doris M. McKenna, of Palm Desert CA, preceded her in death.
The family is grateful to family friend Dawn Armold and the staff at Willow Valley for their care of Louise in her later years.
A graveside funeral service and interment will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Hills Cemetery, 101 Byberry Road, Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County
