Louise Marie (Schultz) Dotterrer, 78, of East Greenville went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2016, as a result of a car accident.
She was the second of six children born to Wilbur and Carrie Schultz of Zionsville, PA.
After Louise graduated from East Greenville High School, she was employed as a cook at the Penn Square Diner, and later as a lab tech for Pillsbury Baking Company until her retirement.
She was married to the late Paul D.C. Dotterrer, of New Berlinville with whom she shared almost 50 years of marriage. Louise accompanied her husband on many missionary trips in their years together, traveling to many countries as they served the Lord.
Though Louise and Paul were never blessed with children of their own, they loved, enjoyed and supported the activities of their nieces and nephews. Louise had been a long time member of the Bethany E. C. Church in Clayton, where she taught little children in the Sunday School for many years. Also, Louise had faithfully served as the organist at the church for approximately 70 years, beginning with the pump organ. She was a praying person and played a vital part in the church prayer chain. She was known for her caring ministry to shut-ins and her generous spirit and giving heart. Giving and sharing with others had been the joy of her life.
She is survived by three siblings; Robert Schultz of Zionsville, Martha Metz married to the Rev. Dr. Donald Metz, Lititz; and Doris Heim married to the Rev. Ronald Heim, New Ringgold and two sisters-in-law; Barbara Schultz of Pennsburg, Lois Schultz Lemak of Allentown, and sister-in-law/brother-in-law Dolores Adams married to Melvin Adams, Richmond, VA and many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Herbert Schultz and John Schultz; and a sister-in-law, Doris Schultz.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA with Rev. Dennis Brubacher officiating.
