Louis J. desGarennes, Jr., 70, of Quakertown, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Pennsburg Manor.
Born October 9, 1946, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Louis J. and Jane (Peale) desGarennes.
Louis was a Hearing Therapist for Bucks County Intermediate Unit.
He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and the Upper Perkiomen Valley YMCA.
He was a marathon runner completing 14 marathons and 14 half marathons. He enjoyed skiing, camping and bike riding.
He is survived by his companion, Mary Anne Robold; two children, Mark and Amy, wife of Peter Sarnes; three grandchildren, Katherine, Mollie and Porter; sisters, Jane Marie, wife of Patrick Gagliano and Virginia Mease and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial follows in Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA. Sympathy may be extended to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
