Loretta M. (Jones) Schnabel, 71, loving wife of John T. Schnabel for 49 years, of Red Hill died on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Quakertown Center.
Born in Green Lane, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Viola K. (Kulp) Jones.
She was a Supervisor at Rosenberger’s Dairies, East Greenville for 17 years, retiring in 2000.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sumneytown having served on the Altar Guild and was president of WAGS. She was also a member of Golden Agers, Pennsburg, the quilting group at the Upper Perkiomen Senior Center, East Greenville, Red Hill Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and she loved to travel, especially cruising to Alaska with her family. She was partial to angel decorations and keepsakes.
Surviving along with her husband is a daughter, Patty Keller and husband, Rick of Quakertown; a granddaughter, Krystal of Quakertown; and a grand dog named Bubba.
She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Bower.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 21, 2011 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3104 Main Street, Sumneytown, PA 18084 with Rev. Susan Lynch officiating. Burial followed in Frieden’s Union Cemetery, Sumneytown. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral service.
