Larue Isabel (Huber) Moyer, 85, wife of Victor J. Moyer, Jr. of Boyertown and formerly of Pennsburg, East Greenville and Red Hill, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at her home.
Born in Hereford, she was the only child of the late Harold and Glenna (Ritz) Huber.
She graduated from East Greenville High School in 1946 and graduated from Empire Beauty School in Allentown. Larue owned her own hair salon on Macoby Street in Pennsburg. Later, she worked at Green Lane Hosiery and Pennsburg Manor.
She was a lifelong member of New Goshenhoppen UCC.
Larue loved her family, her garden and her church.
Surviving in addition to her loving husband of 64 years this past July 3, are her three sons, Stephen J. Moyer and wife, Emily of Gilbertsville; Michael J. Moyer and wife, Patricia of Pottstown; and Brian J. Moyer and companion, Arlene Marks of East Greenville; seven grandchildren, Kyle Moyer; Chris Moyer; Jeff Moyer; Melissa Elison; Erin Slack; Greg Moyer and Rachel Slack; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013, 11:00 am at New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville, PA 18041, with Rev. Dr. Deborah Rahn Clemens, officiating. Burial will follow in New Goshenhoppen Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Thursday at the church.
