Kenneth Edward Wilson, 87, husband of the late Dorothy Marie “Docie” (Landis) Wilson, of Gravel Pike, Palm, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2010 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.
Born in Quakertown, PA he was a son of the late Edward T. and Emily (Hess) Wilson.
He was a Machinist at Mack Truck for 33 years.
He was a veteran of the US Navy serving as a First Class Machinist Mate on ship LST 280 in World War II at the Battle of Normandy and D-Day.
He was a member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church.
He will be lovingly remembered by his 4 sons, Barry K. Wilson and wife, Sylvia of Emmaus, Scott L. Wilson and wife, Bonnie of San Antonio, TX, Dwayne L. Wilson and wife, Vicki of Melbourne, FL and Randall B. Wilson and wife, Lori of Pennsburg; his brother, Willard Wilson and wife, Cathy of Naples, FL; his sisters, Margie, wife of Donald Mulholland of Tulsa, OK, Claire Linn of San Diego, CA and Lucille Biggs of Torrance, CA; his 7 grandchildren, Tammy Wilson-Pickens. Robin Wilson and Brenna Lee of San Antonio, TX, Danielle Davis of Arden, NC, Damon Wilson of Melbourne, FL, Heather Wilson-Gerrits of East Greenville and Jason Wilson of Pennsburg; his 7 great grandchildren, Hunter, Austin, Aiden, Holden, Aria, Corin and Sidney and many nieces and nephews. Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Luther and a sister, Ernestine.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, March 29, 2010 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. Nick Pence officiating. Interment will follow in Palm Schwenkfelder Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
