Kenneth A. Miller, 80, of Marietta, PA, formerly of Palm, PA entered into rest on May 6, 2011 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Lancaster, PA.
Born July 5, 1930 he was the son of the late Gerald and Clara Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Berniece (Shelly) Miller. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Miller.
Ken enlisted and served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1954 and his regiment participated in the Korean War. A carpenter by trade, he worked for various furniture companies until retiring from Milford Enterprises. An avid hunter, his main passion was fishing. He was a member of the Marietta Boat Club.
Surviving are a son, Rodney of Vera Cruz; a daughter, Valerie, wife of Daniel Baker of New Windsor, MD; three grandchildren, Michael, Aaron and Emily Baker of New Windsor, MD; sisters, Shirley Landis of Telford and Gloria Long of East Greenville; a sister-in-law, Patricia of Boyertown. He was a loving father and grandfather. He will be missed.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Salem United Methodist Church, 6440 Powder Valley Road, Zionsville, PA 18092 with Rev. Sharon Feuerstein officiating. Friends and family are welcomed to a viewing in the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
