Kenneth L. Himmelwright, Jr., 76, of Pennsburg, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at LifeQuest Nursing Center in Quakertown. He was the husband of Cynthia A. (Krause) Himmelwright, sharing 47 years of marriage together.
Born in Sellersville, he was a son to the late Kenneth L. and Helen (Stubanus) Himmelwright, Sr.
Kenny worked for Roadway Express in Line Lexington as a truck driver for 36 years earning a safe driving award and reaching two million miles.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, snowmobiling, and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed engine repair and motorcycle and stock car racing. Above all of this, his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his two children, Jeremy I. Himmelwright of Quakertown and Rebecca A., wife of Matthew Weiss of Barto; three grandchildren Gavin, Brody and Liam Weiss; and his brother, Roy D. Himmelwright and companion Dolores Schaffer of Green Lane.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday, November 30, 2018 at New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ with Rev. Ryan Travis officiating. A burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9 to 10 am at the church prior to the service.
