Katie Esther (Sell) Haas, 92, longtime companion of Francis Stauffer and widow of F. Grant Haas, of Perkiomenville, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at home.
Born in Perkiomenville, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Taglieber) Sell.
Katie worked as a sewing machine operator for 20 years retiring in 1984 from the former Daut Manufacturing Company, in Red Hill.
She was a member of Calvary United Church of Christ in Barto and a former member of the Coplay Saengerbund Polka Club. Katie was a tractor enthusiast and belonged to several tractor clubs.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia M. Gauger of Boyertown and Susan B., wife of William Oxenreider of Perkiomenville; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Francis Grant Haas, Jr. and 10 brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2015 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with Pastor Linda Kozlowski officiating.
