Karl L. Heebner, Sr., 75, husband of Catherine M. “Kitty” (Higgins) Heebner of Red Hill, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2015 at Grand View Hospital.
Born in Norristown, he was a son of the late Joseph J. and Mary M. (Woodland) Heebner.
He worked in the Warehouse at Fleming Foods, Inc. in Oaks for over 30 years before retiring.
He was a long time member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the Norris Hose Fire Company.
Surviving along with his wife are 8 children, Gretchen, wife of Wade Brosius, Katrina, wife of Bryan Elitz, Heidi Timins, Kristin Heebner, Erika, wife of Dave Smith, Karl Heebner, Jr., Johanna, wife of Jeff Pocius, and Victoria, wife of Kevin Waldman; sister, Marie Jeffers; 18 grandchildren; 1 great grandson. He was predeceased by siblings, Helen, Joseph and William Heebner and nephew, Butch Jeffers.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016 at St. Philip Neri Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg with the Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial follows in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Norristown. A viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at church. Arrangements are by Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
