Karen Wolfe

Karen C. Wolfe, 73, of Barto, passed away at Laureldale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a recent illness. She was the widow of George J. Wolfe.

Born in Bally, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Grace (Benfield) Minner. Karen was employed for many years as a seamstress at Great American Knitting Mill and later as a supervisor at Bally Ribbon Mill before her retirement.

Karen was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Bally, PA. She also sang in the church choir. Karen loved animals, especially birds, gardening and reading.

Surviving are her children: Daniel S. Wolfe and wife Kelly, of Bechtelsville; Helen Wolfe and husband Steven Foulke, of Allentown; siblings: Marie Minner, of Bally; Mickey Minner and wife Carol, of Bally; Toby Minner and wife Louise, of Green Lane; Letty Lenner and husband Jimmy, of Allentown; and Tony Minner and wife Deb, of Bally, several nieces and nephews and grand-dog Jasper. She was also preceded in death by siblings: Tutty and Fred.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 610 Pine St., Bally, PA on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be from 9:45 to 10:45 AM at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sanctuary at Haafsville Animal Rescue, PO Box 921, Fogelsville, PA 18051 or Most Blessed Sacrament Church, PO C, Bally, PA 19503.
