Justyna (Hajowyzszyn) Nakonecznyj, 97, widow of Oleksa Nakonecznyj, formerly of Layfield Road, Pennsburg, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Pennsburg Manor Nursing Home.
Born in Streptiw, Ukraine, she was a daughter of the late Yohann and Anastasia (Nos) Hajowyszyn.
She was a sewing machine operator at the former Dauts Manufacturing in Pottstown.
She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and loved sewing and taking care of her vegetable and flower gardens.
Surviving are two granddaughters, Justine Walters of Pennsburg and Valerie Walters of California; 7 great grandchildren, Katrina Varady and Marissa Wallace of Boyertown, Jennifer Reifsneider of Pottstown and Heather, Devon, Justin and Thomas Baldinger, all of California; a great great granddaughter, Lanna Varady of Boyertown and a sister, Mary Kost and her children, Merosia Butchynski and Stephen Butchynski, all of Toronto. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her daughter, Oleksandra Nakonecznyj.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 in the Chapel at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. Family and friends are invited to a viewing in the chapel from 9 to 10 a.m.
