Joyce K. (Kehler) Gooding, 68, of Deep Creek Road, Perkiomenville, died January 28, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of Larry J. Gooding celebrating 46 years of marriage on October 17, 2010.
Born in Pitman, PA, she was the daughter of the Late Dwight A. and Elda E. (Fetterolf) Kehler.
She graduated in 1963 as a Registered Nurse from Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia and pursed her career at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadow Brook, PA, at Dr. Henry Kneidinger’s office in Pennsburg; with the Upper Perkiomen Visiting Nurses Association and then at Frederick Mennonite Community until she was unable to work anymore
Surviving along with her husband are two children, Steve J. Gooding and his wife, Leslie of Bradenton, FL and Lara Joy Gooding of Solebury, PA and 2 grandchildren, Grant J. Gooding and Sarah Joy Gooding, both of Bradenton, FL.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville, PA with Rev. James R. Roth officiating. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at church. Arrangements are by Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville, PA.
