Josephine J. (Newton) Schumaker, 85, widow of Edward H. Schumaker, Sr., of East Greenville, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at home.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter to the late James and Myrtle (Pitt) Newton.
In addition to staying home and raising her family, she worked at Plumber Precision as a polisher for many years.
Josephine was a faithful member of Curves in East Greenville and loved to embroider and bake.
Surviving are her children, Edward H. Schumaker of Palm, PA, William F. Schumaker and wife, Martha of Hatfield and Barbara A., wife of David Nace, Sr. of East Greenville; seven grandchildren, Crystal, David, Jr., Noelle, Dean, Mariel, John and Misty; 16 great-grandchildren, Felicia, Christopher, Ayon, Maurice, Ali, Samantha, Hannah, Scarlett, Winston, Brooke, Lilly, Shayna, Destiny, Morgan, Mya and Liam; one great-great grandson, Damien; brother, Henry Newton; and sisters, Barbara Kiter and Genevieve Newton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. A private burial follows.
