Josephine (Risko) Fedyk, 93, of Boyertown, died Wednesday, April 04, 2012 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Nicholas Fedyk.
Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Amelia (Hrycaj) Risko.
She retired in 1980 after working 45 years, first as seamstress for Daught Brothers, Pennsburg, then in production for Doehler-Jarvis, Pottstown and Keystone Transformer, Pennsburg.
She was a lifelong member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg.
She loved sewing and gardening and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her are children, Richard and wife, Lucille Ann of Pottstown, Joan and husband, Douglas McElroy of Mercerville, NJ, and Nancy and husband, Barry Speck of Bethlehem; six grandchildren, Nicholas Fedyk, Stephanie Rocereta, Shane McElroy, Jana Gill, Brian Speck and Erin Gerhart; twelve great grandchildren, Samuel, Julia, Sophia, Zachary, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Reese and Emma (twins), Conor, Rylie and Colin. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Steven and Peter Risko and two sisters, Anna Buchak and Mary Haurylko.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with Rev. Robert A Roncase officiating. Burial follows in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, Inc., East Greenville, PA. Share memories and offer condolences at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
