Joseph A. Uhl, Sr., 68, widower of Janis A. Uhl, of East Greenville, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Grandview Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Albert and Abby Uhl.
He was a machine operator at Consolidated Container Company and Bercon, Inc. for 40 years retiring in 2012.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his children, Brenda S., wife of Rodney Hagenbuch of Skippack, PA, Janis A., wife of Michael Weil of Quakertown, PA and Joe A. Uhl, Jr. of Boyertown, PA; a brother, George Uhl and wife, Karen of Pennsburg; a sister, Abby, wife of John Wright of Perkiomenville and seven grandchildren, Samantha, wife of Brian, Michael, Stephanie, Shelby, wife of Brandon, Matthew, Joey and Aaron.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Pastor Jerry Bigenho officiating. Burial follows in Huff’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
