Joseph F. Simon, 89, of Red Hill, PA, passed away on June 10, 2020 at Pennsburg Manor. He was the husband of Betty Lou (Dulin) Simon.
Born in Archbald, Lackawanna County, PA, he was a son of the late Joseph and Helen (Newcomb) Simon. He worked for many years as a welder for Met-Con before retiring. He loved to go camping and woodworking. He enjoyed making wood crafts and selling them at various craft shows in the area. More recently, he was the primary caregiver of his wife Betty.
He is survived by nephews: John Minner and his wife Lisa; Michael Minner and his wife LeeAnn; great-nephews: John II, Nicholas, Matthew, Andrew and William Minner. He was predeceased by his siblings: Margaret Minner and William A. Simon.
A visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA. All guests are asked to observe current CDC guidelines during the visitation. Due to gathering limits, a private service and burial will be held for family members.
