Joseph P. “Joe” Malchitsky, 61, husband of Kathleen L. “Kathy” (Weldon) Malchitsky, of Perkiomenville, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Lankenau Medical Center.
Born in Hazelton, PA, he was a son of Mildred M. “Millie” (Starruick) Malchitsky, of Perkiomenville and the late Joseph C. Malchitsky.
He was a graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School.
Joe worked as a corrections officer for 21 years before retiring from Graterford Correctional Facility and worked as a landscaper for his own company, Fairway Landscaping for the past 8 years.
He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two children, Michael Malchitsky and his wife, Colleen of Perkiomenville and Kristen, wife of Thomas “Tommy” Iannarelli of Collegeville; five grandchildren, Mason and Hannah Malchitsky and Giovanna, Milania and Vincenzo Iannarelli.
A celebration of life gathering will be held Friday, October 30, 2015 from 9 am until 11 am at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville; followed by a private service. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
