Joseph T. Cassel, Jr., 78, formerly of Pennsburg but residing at the Community at West Rockhill in Sellersville, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020. He was the husband of the late Arlene R. (Biddington) Cassel, sharing 52 years of marriage together before her passing in 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Florence (Free) Cassel.
Joseph worked for many years at Knoll Inc. in East Greenville before retiring and prior to that, he and his wife owned a True Value Hardware Store for 30 years in Bensalem.
A Penn State University graduate, Joseph was known to always cheer on the Penn State Football team; he loved watching all the games. He was also an avid golfer and loved to be out on the golf course in his free time.
He will be sadly missed by his granddaughter, Lauren Emily Cassel of Wallingford, CT; his sister, June Stegner; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by two sons, Joseph T. Cassel, III and Jason D. Cassel.
Joseph will be laid to rest privately next to his wife at George Washington Memorial Park. Please offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
